Is TYGRON® a medicine, a supplement or a food?
It is a food. Its regulatory category in Malaysia is functional food (Makanan Berfungsi), so it is regulated as a food rather than registered as a drug, and it is not a medicine. In everyday terms it is a daily botanical beverage, formulated to support respiratory comfort and long-term lung wellness as part of a daily routine.
Food in Malaysia is regulated by the Food Safety and Quality Division (FSQD) of the Ministry of Health. In the mandate FSQD files with the FAO/WHO Codex Alimentarius, it describes its law this way: "Food Act 1983 intended to protect the public from health hazards and fraud in the food preparation, sale and use of food." The same Codex page records that Malaysia's National Codex Committee was established in 1985, with FSQD as its chair. A regulator regulates; it does not recommend products, and we do not claim that it does.
Why the category matters for you, and why we never call TYGRON® a supplement, is covered in functional food vs supplement vs medicine.
What is tiger milk mushroom, and why does TYGRON® use the sclerotium?
Tiger milk mushroom (Lignosus rhinocerus, cendawan susu harimau, 虎乳芝) is a rainforest mushroom native to Southeast Asia. The part that matters is not the cap but the sclerotium, the hard underground storage organ the stalk grows out of. The national Malaysian Herbal Monograph, hosted by the Institute for Medical Research and updated on 14 May 2026, describes the sclerotium as up to 9.8 cm long.
The same monograph records the mushroom's heritage honestly. Under a heading that reads "Uses described in folk medicine, not supported by experimental or clinical data", it states: "Traditionally, Lignosus spp has been used for coughs and colds." That is the tradition the mushroom carries in Malaysian homes: traditional use, not a clinical finding.
TYGRON® holds the Malaysia Book of Records certification for the highest 1,3/1,6 beta-glucan content in tiger milk mushroom in Malaysia. 1,3/1,6 beta-glucan is the most important active compound and quality benchmark in tiger milk mushroom, and a higher content signals greater potency and quality. The certificate was issued to Fungitech Sdn Bhd on 9 April 2026.
I have spent over two decades growing functional mushrooms, and the TMM365+ slow-grown method behind that record came out of that work: each harvest takes more than 365 days. Its slow cycle is what drives the higher 1,3/1,6 beta-glucan content behind the record. Every sachet uses sclerotium only, with no mycelium.
What is inside a TYGRON® sachet?
Eight actives, in label order, plus a little stevia leaf extract for sweetness and two anti-caking agents (tricalcium phosphate and silicon dioxide). There is no preservative, no thickener, no starch and no mycelium. Cordyceps, liquorice root and zinc are not ingredients.
| # | Active ingredient | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Herbosomal® Tiger Milk Mushroom Sclerotium Extract | The extract portion of the mushroom. ORGANO uses Herbosomal® patented liposomal encapsulation technology (patent number MY-188945-A) on the extract portion. |
| 2 | Vitamin C | 90 mg per sachet. |
| 3 | Acacia Fiber | A plant fibre from the acacia tree, also called gum arabic. |
| 4 | Bacopa Leaf Extract | From the leaf of Bacopa monnieri, a creeping herb. |
| 5 | Elderberry Fruit Extract | The dark purple berry of the elder tree, and the source of the berry taste. |
| 6 | Astragalus Root Extract | A flowering plant whose root is long used in traditional Chinese practice. |
| 7 | Lion's Mane Mushroom Fruiting Body Extract | The fruiting body, the visible mushroom, of Hericium erinaceus, not its mycelium. |
| 8 | Turmeric Rhizome Extract | The underground stem of turmeric. |
Here is what the public sources actually say, including the limits they state themselves. According to MedlinePlus at the US National Library of Medicine, "The body is not able to make vitamin C on its own. It does not store vitamin C." NCCIH, part of the US National Institutes of Health, writes in its May 2025 astragalus page that the root "has been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine", and is equally plain that "There is not sufficient reliable scientific evidence to know whether astragalus is useful for any health condition." NCCIH also advises people with autoimmune diseases to avoid astragalus, so check with your doctor first if that applies to you. Its April 2025 turmeric page describes "a plant in the ginger family" grown commercially in Southeast Asia and India. Each slot is explained in the 8-in-1 formulation explained.

What do the Halal, GMP and HACCP marks on TYGRON® mean?
TYGRON® is Halal certified under Halal MS 1500, and the certification covers the finished product, not only the mushroom. MS 1500 is Malaysia's national halal food standard; its full designation is MS 1500:2019, Halal food: General requirements (Third revision), published by the Department of Standards Malaysia. Halal certification is issued by JAKIM, the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia, whose own portal dates its involvement in halal certification to 1974 and records that a Cabinet decision of 8 July 2009 returned the management of Malaysian halal certification to JAKIM. You can check TYGRON®'s halal certificate yourself on JAKIM's directory in under a minute.
GMP and HACCP describe how a food is made safely. The international reference is the FAO/WHO Codex General Principles of Food Hygiene (CXC 1-1969, last revised in 2022), which sets out seven HACCP principles, among them hazard analysis and control at critical control points with defined critical limits. TYGRON® is manufactured in Malaysia under GMP, HACCP and Halal-certified conditions. The certificates themselves are listed on our certifications page.
How do you take TYGRON®, and who is it for?
Tear one sachet, stir it into water, and drink it the same day. It has a naturally sweet berry flavour from the elderberry, with no bitter herbal taste, which makes it easy for children to drink. Each box holds 14 sachets of 5 g, a 14-day supply at one sachet a day.
For the step-by-step routine, including how much water to use and the three mistakes to avoid, see how to drink a TYGRON® sachet.

How many sachets are in a box of TYGRON®?
Each box contains 14 sachets, a 14-day supply at one sachet a day. Each sachet is 5 g, so a box is 70 g net, and every sachet delivers 1,000 mg of tiger milk mushroom sclerotium.
Is TYGRON® suitable for vegetarians and vegans?
Yes to both. TYGRON® contains no animal-derived ingredients: the blend is botanical and mushroom-based, with no gelatin, dairy, egg or honey. Full ingredient information is on the product label and the product page.
Is TYGRON® gluten-free?
Yes, it is gluten-free, and no dairy, egg, nut or shellfish is used as an ingredient. It is made on shared equipment, so the box carries the honest wording that it may come into contact with common allergens. If you have a history of allergies, speak to a doctor or pharmacist first. TYGRON® is mushroom-based, so it is not suitable if you have a known mushroom or fungi allergy.
How should I store TYGRON®, and how long does it keep?
Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and out of reach of young children; no refrigeration is needed. It keeps for 2 years from its manufacturing date, and the expiry date is printed on the box and on each sachet. Once a sachet is opened, mix and drink it the same day.
