TYGRON®: Safety and Suitability
Twenty-two answers on who can take TYGRON®, children, pregnancy, medicines, existing conditions and side effects.
TYGRON®: Safety & Suitability
TYGRON® suits most of the family: adults (1-2 sachets a day), ages 7 to 18 (1 sachet a day), and ages 2 to 6 (half a sachet a day). It is also a gentle daily routine for elderly parents. It is not suitable for children under 2.

For generations, indigenous communities across Southeast Asia, and especially in Malaysia, have turned to tiger milk mushroom (Lignosus rhinocerus) to soothe coughs and support the lungs. That tradition is the heart of TYGRON®. Each sachet gives you 1,000mg of tiger milk mushroom sclerotium, which holds the Malaysia Book of Records for the highest 1,3/1,6 beta-glucan content in tiger milk mushroom, formulated in Australia by Fungitech Australia Pty Ltd and made more absorbable with Herbosomal® patented liposomal encapsulation. Because TYGRON® is categorised as a functional food by Malaysia's Ministry of Health, we cannot make any medical or health claims. If your cough is severe, brings up blood, or does not settle within a few weeks, please see a doctor.

Tiger milk mushroom (Lignosus rhinocerus) has been used traditionally across Malaysia to soothe coughs and support the lungs, including coughs that come with phlegm, and that tradition is the heart of TYGRON®. Some customers have told us a daily routine helps them feel clearer. Because TYGRON® is categorised as a functional food by Malaysia's Ministry of Health, we cannot make any medical or health claims. Please see a doctor if phlegm lasts more than a couple of weeks, or if you ever see blood in it.

One thing matters more than anything else here. Keep taking your inhalers exactly as your doctor prescribed them. Never stop, reduce or replace a preventer inhaler because you have started TYGRON®, even if your breathing feels better. If you are reaching for your reliever more often than usual, waking at night, or your usual dose is not lasting, see your doctor promptly, and get emergency help if you are struggling to breathe.

It is a very common pattern. Lying flat lets mucus pool at the back of the throat instead of draining, airways are naturally a little tighter overnight, and bedroom triggers like dust mites, air-conditioning and dry air add to it. Practical things that help: raise your head slightly with an extra pillow, wash bedding weekly in hot water, and service your air-conditioner regularly. A night cough that lasts more than two to three weeks, or wakes you repeatedly, should be seen by a doctor.

For most people TYGRON® sits fine alongside everyday food and drink. There are three things worth raising with your doctor or pharmacist first if they apply to you.
Blood thinners. TYGRON® contains turmeric, which is often flagged alongside warfarin, aspirin, clopidogrel and similar medicines. Check before starting if you take any of them, or if you have a bleeding disorder.
Medicines that act on your immune system. Beta-glucan and astragalus are traditionally associated with stimulating immune activity, which is the opposite of what medication after a transplant, or for an autoimmune condition, is trying to do. Speak to your specialist first.
Timing with any oral medicine. TYGRON® contains acacia fibre, and fibre taken at the same moment as a tablet can reduce how much of it your body absorbs. Leaving about one to two hours between the two avoids the question entirely.
None of this means you cannot take TYGRON®. It means the person who knows your prescription should be the one to say so.

Please check with the doctor who manages your condition before you start. This is not us being cautious for the sake of it. Beta-glucan, the compound tiger milk mushroom is known for, and astragalus, another botanical in the blend, are both traditionally associated with stimulating immune activity, and in an autoimmune condition the immune system is already overactive. The same applies if you take medication that deliberately damps your immune system, including after a transplant. There is no good research telling us what TYGRON® does in that situation, so the honest answer is that your specialist should make the call, not us. If they are happy for you to take it, watch for any flare in your usual symptoms and stop and speak to them if you notice one.

Yes, as a sensible precaution, and tell your surgeon or dentist that you have been taking it. The usual advice for any botanical product is to stop about one to two weeks before a planned procedure. TYGRON® contains turmeric, which is commonly grouped with the botanicals that surgeons ask you to pause because of a possible effect on bleeding. Your surgical team may also want your immune system left alone around the procedure. Follow whatever instruction they give you over this one, and pick TYGRON® back up once they say you are clear.

Yes. At 90 mg a sachet, TYGRON® adds a modest amount of Vitamin C rather than a high dose, so it sits comfortably alongside a separate Vitamin C product. Just count it into your daily total instead of forgetting it is there. Vitamin C is water-soluble, so whatever your body does not use in a day is largely passed out rather than stored up. If you are on prescription medication, or taking a high-dose Vitamin C for a reason your doctor gave you, check with them first, as you would with any new daily product.

TYGRON® is made from food-grade botanicals and most people drink it without any trouble at all. The things we hear about are mild and usually settle by themselves in the first few days: a bit of wind, a mild tummy ache, or looser stools than usual, which is common whenever a fibre-containing drink is new to you. If your stomach is sensitive, take your sachet with or just after food.
TYGRON® is mushroom-based, so an allergic reaction is possible in anyone sensitive to mushrooms or fungi. Stop and get emergency help (Malaysia 999, Singapore 995) if you notice a rash or hives, swelling of the face, lips or tongue, wheezing, or any difficulty breathing. Otherwise, stop and speak to a doctor or pharmacist about any reaction that concerns you or does not settle. Please tell us too, on WhatsApp at +60 17-604 5612 or at support@myorgano.shop with the batch code from the box, so we can log it.

Stop taking TYGRON® and see a doctor. That is the honest answer, and it is the same advice printed on every box. A symptom that is new, worse, or not going away can have many causes, and only a doctor who can examine you is able to tell you which one applies to you. Please do not wait it out.
A few things worth knowing while you arrange that. Some customers have told us they noticed changes in how their throat or chest felt in the first week of a new daily routine. Some people are also simply sensitive to a new food, mushrooms included. TYGRON® is a daily botanical beverage made from food-grade botanicals, not a medicine, and it is not designed to make you feel worse on the way to feeling better. If anyone tells you a worsening symptom is a normal or necessary stage, please treat that with caution. We would much rather you get checked and be told it was nothing.
Please tell us too. WhatsApp us at +60 17-604 5612 or email support@myorgano.shop with your order number and the batch code printed on the box, and we will log it and follow up with you. If you have difficulty breathing, chest tightness, or you are coughing up blood, seek medical care immediately.

We are not going to call that normal, because we cannot know that it is. A cough that is new to someone who smokes is exactly the kind of change a doctor should look at, so please stop TYGRON® and get it checked first. Quitting smoking is still the single most useful thing anyone can do for their lungs, and nothing in a daily routine replaces that.
You may hear a new cough explained as the body clearing itself out. We do not make that claim about TYGRON® and we would not ask you to rely on it. TYGRON® is a daily botanical beverage, not a medicine. Some customers do tell us they notice changes in the first week of any new daily routine, but a cough that is new to you deserves a proper answer from a doctor, not a guess from us.
Once you have been checked and your doctor is happy for you to continue, you are welcome to come back to it. Message us on WhatsApp at +60 17-604 5612 or email support@myorgano.shop with your order number and batch code either way, so we can log it.

This answer is for children aged 2 to 6, whose usual serving is half a sachet. A double serving on one occasion is not usually a cause for alarm, and here is exactly what to do. If your child already has a rash, any swelling, or trouble breathing, read the emergency note at the end of this answer first.
What your child had is twice their usual half sachet. Because a child is much lighter than an adult, the same sachet is a bigger dose for them than it would be for you, so it is worth keeping an eye on them. TYGRON® is a functional food made from food-grade botanicals, not a medicine. As a sense of scale, one whole sachet is the serving TYGRON® is made for every day from age 7, so what your child had is an everyday serving of this product, just one meant for an older child. Do treat that as a rough comparison rather than a reassurance: a 7 year old is roughly twice the weight of a 2 year old, so for a very young child it is still a larger dose than the age comparison alone suggests, which is why the watching below is worth doing.
What to do now: if your child is fully awake and breathing normally, offer a normal drink of water and carry on with normal meals. Do not try to make your child vomit. Do not try to make up for it: leave the next serving if you would rather, or carry on with the usual half sachet at the normal time the next day. Stay with your child for the next two hours, then check on them normally through the following day.
What to look out for: a mild tummy ache, wind, or looser stools than usual. That usually passes without treatment, but it is worth watching, and keep offering small, frequent sips of fluid if your child has been sick or has loose stools. Speak to a doctor or pharmacist if your child has a tummy ache that will not settle, or simply seems unwell in a way that worries you. See a doctor the same day, or go to your nearest emergency department, if your child vomits repeatedly, has diarrhoea that does not settle, or shows any sign of dehydration: far fewer wet nappies or trips to the toilet than usual, a dry mouth and tongue, no tears when crying, or sunken-looking eyes. It helps to note how much they had and roughly when.
If your child is between 2 and 6 and has had more than one whole sachet in a day, or your child is under 2, get advice rather than waiting to see what happens. If your child has a known allergy, especially to mushrooms or fungi, a health condition, or takes regular medication, speak to their doctor.
When to get emergency help. This is rare, but it is the one situation that cannot wait. Call for emergency help, Malaysia 999 or Singapore 995, if your child develops a rash or hives, swelling of the face, lips or tongue, wheezing, noisy breathing or any difficulty breathing, lips or face turning blue, grey or very pale, or sudden floppiness or drowsiness. These can be signs of an allergic reaction. Most start within minutes to about two hours of swallowing something, but if any appear later, including after your child has seemed completely fine, treat them the same way and call straight away rather than watching. TYGRON® contains mushroom and plant extracts, so tell the team what your child took and bring the sachet or box with you.
Once your child is settled, please tell us as well, on WhatsApp at +60 17-604 5612 or by email at support@myorgano.shop, with the batch code printed on the box, so we can log it.

Most children who get hold of a little TYGRON® will be perfectly fine, and here is what to do. If your child is coughing, choking, struggling to breathe or hard to wake, do not give them anything to drink and go straight to the emergency note at the end of this answer.
If your child is fully awake and breathing normally: do not try to make them vomit. Wipe any powder from around their mouth, offer a small drink of water, and stay with them. If your child may have chewed or swallowed part of the sachet itself, treat that as urgent and get medical advice straight away, even if they seem fine. If powder has gone into an eye, rinse it gently with clean water and get advice if the eye stays red or sore.
Then get advice even if your child seems perfectly well. Contact your doctor, your pharmacist, or your nearest hospital emergency department, and tell them what was swallowed, roughly how much, and when. Bring the sachet or box with you. The under-2 limit is there because TYGRON® has not been assessed for children that young, not because we know of a specific danger, which is exactly why we would rather you checked than waited.
Afterwards, please keep TYGRON® out of reach of children, as you would with any food product or medicine in the house.
