How do I get my child to actually drink it?

The flavour is mildly earthy with a soft natural sweetness from elderberry, closer to a light fruit tea than a medicine. For fussy drinkers:

• Mix into orange or apple juice instead of water: the sweetness masks the earthiness.
• Stir into warm (not hot) milk for breakfast.
